How to use the Hackermania hacker typer

Hackermania is a free online fake coding simulator. Press any letter, number, or symbol and the screen generates convincing code for you—no programming experience or setup needed.

Get started in seconds

Open the hacker typer on a desktop, tablet, or phone.
Press any printable key. Each keystroke reveals a small piece of realistic source code.
Open the round menu button to change the code language, visual theme, or output speed.

Press Esc to pause or resume. Press Ctrl + R on Windows and Linux, or Cmd + R on macOS, to clear the console and begin a new session.

Four fake coding modes

Switch between Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, and systems-style terminal output. Every mode changes the source code, file names, telemetry, and status messages. You can also choose a neon operations desk, dark editor, green matrix terminal, or amber CRT theme.
